SEAN RINGGOLD – IS NOTORIOUS
From Day to Knight, Soap Star Sean Ringgold is stepping Onto the Big Screen as Suge Knight
Chances are you’ve seen Sean Ringgold before now and just didn’t know.
You may recognize Sean, a towering 6’3” former celebrity bodyguard who worked on 106 & Park and has worked together with DTeflon if you came to the BET Spring Bling Tour in Florida,Sean is best known for having an imitidating presence because of his size but is sure to catch your attention with his dazzling smile,He currently stars as Sean in daily on One Life to Live and Sean is most definitley living his life to the fullest as he has now has landed the big role as CEO and music mogul of Death Row Records Marion “Suge” Knight in the upcoming movie NOTORIOUS. Based on the life of slain rapper Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace, NOTORIOUS places Ringgold, whose talents are catching the eye of Hollywood, with a cast of all stars that include Angela Bassett, Derek Luke and Anthony Mackie.
Ringgold, who hails from Rockaway, Queens, has worked with many celebrities on and off camera. As a bodyguard he worked for the likes of Tom Cruise, Queen Latifah and LL Cool J, to name a few, but it’s his on-camera appearances in the movie American Gangster, television show Gossip Girls and his reoccurring role on daytime soap One Life To Live as well as a number of national commercials that have created buzz for and interest in this up-and-coming actor.
This former New York State Arm Wrestling Champion wears many hats: actor, stunt man, model and personal trainer to name a few, but it’s his passion coupled with his ability to find something inspirational in everything he does that fuels is acting career. “To be in television you have to feel good about who and what you are in order to reach higher levels of success. Success is something you attract into your life by the person you become.”
So what’s next for this rising star? “Nothing happens overnight, you have to train and work hard,” says Ringgold who adds, “I’m not looking for handouts.” With his impressive size Ringgold wants to be challenged by roles that are outside of his character and different for someone of his stature. He’s a man on a mission, who wants to be recognized for his talent and show there’s no limit to what a kid from Rockaway Beach can do. “I want to show who and what I am,” says Sean.
