David Shark Fralick, born in South Miami, Florida, grew up the youngest of 4 in a Military Upbringing ( His Father a Major in the U.S. Army & Survivor of the Bataan Death March who also Spent 1382 days as a POW under the Japanese, that was also a Lead Engineer who helped to Build the "Bridge Over River Kwai" ) has Lived In New York and the South until moving West to California in late 89' to work with David Carradine in Final Sanction. David was a Contract Player for Nearly 8 Years on the # 1 Daytime Soap Opera " the Young and the Restless " as menacing Ex-Con Larry Warton,(from 98' to 06") He has also Starred and Costarred in almost 70 Films.
Shark can been seen chasing Nicholas Cage thru Gone in 60 Seconds, Played Opposite Master P in LOCKDOWN as an Aryan Supremacist "Graffiti", was a Blonde Flatopped Mercenary who pursued Cuba Gooding Jr. & Skeet Ulrich In CHILL FACTOR,and Starred against Jean Claude Van Damme In DESERT HEAT/COYOTE MOON as Matt Hogan, a Part which was a Study In Contrasts.
Shark Is also a Study In Contrasts. On one hand, He's the Quintessential Tough Guy in Action Films (Carrying three Separate Black Belts in Judo, Kenpo & Jui Jitsu), Not a Pretty boy who Acts tough, Shark Is the Genuine Article. Influenced by his Fathers Discipline & many of His dad's fellow Survivor/Warrior comrade's from S.A.S., Green Beret's, Special Forces, O.S.S., Seals, etc.
He's very well Rounded and Comfortable In Sticky Situations. His Toughness, Physical Abilities, Determination & Grit Earned Him a position as a Walk on Wide Receiver for Legendary Paul Bear Bryant @ Univ Of Alabama's CRIMSON TIDE.
From 79' (National Champs) to 82' and was also On the Rugby, Tennis, Water Skiing, and Swimming teams, then,was an Exotic Male Dancer up and down the East Coast in Several troupe's From, Chippendale's, U.S. Male to Sunset Strip & Southern Express.. and did a 6 Month Stint @ the World Famous Crazy Horse Saloon before Chauffeuring & Bartending for many Years @ the Button and Button South, then City Limits In Ft. Lauderdale...where His Film Career Started On Miami Vice and Revenge Of the Nerds 2 (Getting Taft Hartley'ed).as a Stunt Player.
His Toughness served Him well in such roles as Master of the Killing Art "Southern Cross In FIST of the NORTH STAR" with Costas Mandylor, a vicious Vampire In NIGHT HUNTER,with Don "the Dragon" Wilson. Played a Deadly Assassin in WITHOUT WARNING and a Dutch Drug Buyer In ASSASSINS with Stallone and Banderas.
He also Doubled John Jackson fighting Steven Seagal In GLIMMERMAN and Played many Action, Psycho, Heavy Roles in such films as INVASION FORCE, DOWNWARD ANGEL, BLINDFOLD, TNT, SOUL TAKER, DARK RIDER, BLINK of an EYE, FINAL PAYBACK, UNCLE SAM, FUTURE SHOCK, and Did Episodes of VIP, SONS of THUNDER and BABYLON 5 & the Several Shows of Series "the BIG EASY.
More Recently, Guest Starring as the Felon on DAYs of Our LIVES, Funny or Die, & small but memorable roles In NCIS, Criminal Minds, and Numb3rs along with Various Roles In Several Independent Features & shorts such as Muy Macho, Station 4, the Young and the Rebellious, the Reason ( for the Veterans Network ) a Few Others and some Music Videos & also Several funny Commercials.
On the other side of the Paradox Shark has spent many years Diligently Studying his Craft and Committing Himself to the Art of Acting (Taught for 3 Years @ Hollywood Film & Acting Academy) and done Intensive Acting Workshops with the likes of Richard Tyson in several States and Canada.for another 7 years prior.
His Undying Commitment resulted in his Ability to Portray a wide array of Characters with totally different Physical Appearances and Mannerisms. He has Disappeared Into such roles as "Dwayne" the sensitive & simple minded Escapee In" the LEGEND of WOLF MOUNTAIN" with Mickey Rooney, Darryl Hannahs love Slave In "THE LAST DAYS of FRANKIE the FLY with Dennis Hopper & Keiffer Sutherland, & An Inbred, Deep Woods, Poacher in the 5 star Dove Rated children's film WHEN I FIND the OCEAN with Lee Majors and Dianne Ladd to name a few.
This Believe it or not all Began with his Love for the Stage (& Cutting Up his Fellow students in school & in the Service from the Sea Cadets to Naval and Air Force Reserves) where his Pursuit of the Art led him to the Stage, Receiving Acclaim for His role as Don Baker in BUTTERFLIES are FREE & Lennie in Of MICE & MEN, thru Tom in GLASS MENAGERIE to Teach in AMERICAN BUFFALO & SHAKESPEARE's Hamlet.
Unsurprisingly Comedy is also a part of His Repertoire. He has done Stand-Up in a Dozen Clubs, Emceed & Hosted & Been an Avid Supporter Of Many Charities (Mainly Handicapped Children and Animals) From N.L.O.L. and Best Friends, To Make a Wish and Special Olympics, He's also an Ambassador of Compassion with Lift Up America and Does Numerous Fund Raisers and Awareness Events with Golf Tournaments for Ronald Mc Donald House, Kenny Stabler, L.A.s Mission of Hope & numerous others.
This Diversity Carries Over to his personal life, He has two Dogs and a Snake, restores Antique Vehicles, plays Classical Piano & Bass guitar, is a Chess Champion, Writes, Sings and Loves Mother Nature, esp. Water Sports from Skiing & Surfing to Diving & Sailing and Owns 35 older GM Muscle cars, Classics, Convertibles and Hot Rods, a WW2 M-20 APC, ( Armored Personnel Carrier as was used In DIE HARD ) 10 Motorcycles and a Dozen Surf Boards, etc...
With the Love of his Mother and Family, Belief in the Yin & Yang along with the Study's of Tai Chi from a Shao Lin Monk , he Considers Himself a Spiritual Warrior and has Undying Faith In Christ Almighty as He Attends Sanctuary Religiously, Now as a CEO of his LLC and a New sure to be a Hit Series ( John Deere Lane ) and several Eclectic Quality Projects Lined Up, David Shark Fralick will be a Visible Player contributing his Talents, Skills and Characters to the Silver Screen for a Long time to Come.
